I love listening to Science Friday. I always hear something new and exciting ... It takes me back to my graduate school research days. I will often begin with "I heard an interesting story on NPR. . ." and share them with my students. Even if it is not originally from SciFri, I try and supplement my lessons with current articles and videos.

So, I was excited to hear about the opportunity to collaborate with the Sci Fri staff. Chosen applicants will help develop and produce lessons and activities inspired by the SciFri interviews and stories. I applied!
Our school is 1:1 with all 7-12 students having a MacBook Air. Part of our professional development is to effectively bring in technology to enhance student learning . . . in other words, SAMR. I love this graphic, relate it to coffee and I can get on board ... though I am not a fan of the pumpkin spice craze! If I were a participant in the Education Collaborator, it would be a huge benefit for my students and certainly taking in-class tasks and activities to the R level! I'm looking forward to hearing later this month.
